About

I created this website after finding myself in a hole of despair, grief and helplessness. Like many others, the pain and guilt around what is happening in Gaza has become too much. I didn’t know how to help. I didn’t know what I could do. The enemy is too big. My actions felt too small. The fear is paralysing. I felt so insignificant, so far away, so lost.

In moments like this, it is so easy to give up. On the fight. On hope. On humanity. And I was so close to doing so. But tonight, as I write this, I realised one very important thing: when the enemy’s only goal is to erase a people and a place, one of the biggest acts of defiance is to keep acknowledging their existence, to keep remembering them, to keep talking about them and to them.

I hope this website becomes a safe space to do that. The world’s silence is deafening, and it can sometimes feel like no one cares. But I know there are countless people who are fighting for Gaza in any way they can. My hope is that we can bring our voices together to show the people of Gaza we are with them.

I also hope it is a reminder to all those who are struggling to continue the fight that we are not alone, that there are good people in the world who care, and that no matter how hard they try, they will not break our spirit.

If you would like to contribute a letter to the people of Gaza, you can leave a comment, complete the contact form or email lettersforgaza@proton.me

I will publish each letter on the website anonymously – without any names or contact details.

If you would like to, you can share the name of your country. This will help to show our global support for Gaza. This is completely optional – you don’t have to share your country information if you don’t want to.

Thank you.
