• Fighting like a warrior

    Dear Gaza,

This letter is for the people of Gaza, who are out there suffering, yet never giving up on their hopes, their immense strength and their faith. Things have been so much difficult for you people, but I am proud of you all for being this brave and fighting like a warrior. I wish I had that kind of resilience and willpower.

Just never give up. You will surely attain peace.

    Yours in solidarity,

  • Never forgotten

    Dear Gaza,

Please know all those in Gaza who are suffering because of this horrible war are never forgotten. You are all in my prayers and sending hope of peace soon especially for the innocent children who are starving and for their mothers who must endure this tragedy as well. War never wins but love always wins

  • There is no life without you

    Dear Gaza,

I sit and stare at my phone. Friends have asked me to meet them for coffee and catch ups. For dinner and discussion. For them, life is as it has always been.

    But it isn’t.

    How? How can it be?

How can there be life without you, oh Gaza?

The colour has seeped away. Everything is grey and dusty, like the bodies that fall from the carts, limp and lifeless like puppets.

Like the children that are blown clear away from their homes, but not far enough to escape. They wave their hands for help. I look at my own, empty.

At moments, anger rises up inside me. It sparks. One, two, three. But there is no fuel left. There is nothing left inside me.

How? How do I keep going?

    Why should I keep going?

Your light is fading. This world, its evil, is bearing down on you, on us, on the future. There is no turning back from this.

    How is this real?

    How did we get here?

  • We are with you

    Dear Gaza,

What can I say except I am with you? I hear you. I see you. I stand by you.

Your pain is deafening. It has seeped into the earth, down to the core of this planet. I hear it roar under me with every step I take. I will listen to it. I will not cover my ears.

You are the first thing I think about when I wake up, and the last thing I think about when I go to sleep. I will not stop thinking of you.

The images of your broken, bloodied children fills my mind. Fire and smoke and charred flesh covers my screen. I will not close my eyes.

Fear looms over me, the fear of what they will do to me. I will not stay silent.

They want to erase you. Blow you away like dust. But they cannot erase you from our hearts, our minds, our bodies. They can never silence our love for you. We are with you. We stand in defiance with you.

All around the world, we are with you. Oh Gaza, we are with you.

    Yours in solidarity,
